ABOUT
I spent 35 years at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), including as Deputy Secretary-General and Acting Secretary-General. Over those years, I worked with standards bodies, governments and industry leaders across the globe. Through Fleury Leadership International, I now put that experience at the service of decision-makers.
WHY IT MATTERS
Standards used to be a technical afterthought. Today they are instruments of economic and geopolitical power. Whoever writes the standards shapes the market, and increasingly, nations and companies compete not only on products, but on the rules those products must follow. Understanding this landscape is no longer optional for anyone whose business depends on technology, trade or regulation.
WHAT I DO
I help leaders understand and act on the strategic dimension of standardization. That can take several forms: advising governments on their national standardization strategy, guiding companies whose markets or technologies are being reshaped by international standards, supporting executives who need to engage with standards bodies effectively, or providing insight into the geopolitics of standardization.
